The 2012 AGM will be a simple business meeting without any presentations. Awards will be presented during a social presentations evening at the 2012 Spring Show.
The 2012 AGM is expected to last approximately 2 hours. As always, it remains an important opportunity to play your part in the management of the Association and in establishing the Association’s objectives and policies, get the latest information on the 2012 programme and meet up with friends after the winter.
Attendance at the AGM will be open to all paid up members (including Youth members) with coffee/tea provided free of charge.
If you have items for inclusion on the Agenda, these should be notified to the Company Secretary at the address below by Friday 17th February.
Council elections will precede the AGM as follows:-
There are expected to be four council vacancies. members standing for election need to be proposed in writing by another member in good standing and must also declare in writing their willingness to serve if elected. Nomination forms were sent to all members with the Winter issue of the AQHA UK Journal.
In the event of more nominations being received than vacancies, there will be a postal ballot. members standing for election are encouraged to submit manifestos (max 100 words) which will be sent out with the election papers. The nomination form closing date is Friday 17th February. Acknowledgements will be sent, so if you do not receive one, please check with the company secretary.
Closing date for receipt of nominations Friday 17th February
Despatch of election papers Friday 2nd March
Closing date for receipt of voting slips Tuesday 27th March
Election count Wednesday 28th March.
Newly elected Council members will take office at the conclusion of the AGM.
