TRANSFERS
You’ve bought the American Quarter Horse of your dreams, now what do you do, to get the paperwork and passport in your name?
Firstly you need to send off your American Papers to be transferred into your name. Some AQHA Registration papers have the transfer form on the reverse side, others need you to send a separate transfer form (along with the original papers so they can be overwritten) If you need a separate transfer form, you can download it below from the AQHA website.

After you have received back your registration document from the USA, then follow the procedure below:-
AQHA UK Transfer Form
Section 1 and Appendix – the AQHA Transfer form needs to be completed and sent with AQHA Registration Certificate (original) and applicable fee direct to the USA. When you receive the registration document back from America, please send a COPY, with the AQHA UK transfer form, signed by the seller, together with the passport, to the office for the transfer to be effected.
Section II, III and V – All AQHA.UK Registered horses need an UK Transfer form completed and sent with the original Registration Certificate and Passport together with the appropriate fee to the AQHA.UK Administration Office.
NOTE: We do advise you to obtain “proof of posting” for all documents sent to AQHA and AQHA.UK and make sure you take copies of everything you send.
